Remedios, administrative center of the municipality of the same name, located in Villa Clara province, 41 km far from Santa Clara, the main city in the province. Linked to the capital of the Republic and the remaining provinces by road and rail. Founded in 1515, San Juan de los Remedios, the eighth village founded by Spanish colonists in the island, represents a unique attraction with a centenarian history and an offer full of culture.
The historic center of Remedios City was declared a National Monument in 1980.
