Hotel Encanto Barcelona, opened in 2012, in the City of San Juan de los Remedios, the eighth oldest Villa in Cuba, founded in 1578 and famous for being the cradle of the Parrandas de Remedios, which are celebrated at Christmas every year , possibly being the largest and oldest traditional Cuban festival, and one of the oldest in Latin America.

The antiquity of the city is particularly evident in the city center (declared a National Historic Monument in 1980), where 17th century Spanish architecture can be appreciated for being almost intact.

Hotel Encanto Barcelona is located just one block away from Hotel Mascotte, it shares its privileged location, in front of Plaza Mayor, which is the only one in Cuba where 2 churches are located, one of them being the main attraction of the city, the Greater Parish Church of San Juan Bautista, which contains 13 altars beautifully decorated in gold, and the other church known as "Nuestra Señora del Buen Viaje".
