Hotels in Hanabanilla

Hanabanilla is located in the south of Villa Clara province and has a huge potential for the practice of the tourism of nature with the presence of the artificial lake "Hanabanilla". In the area, there is a three stars hotel called "Hanabanilla" with a high aesthetic value and excellent views to the lake and the mountains.

Near the hotel there are caves, rivers, natural paths, natural reservoirs and also many historic and cultural sites of interest to tourists (aboriginal settlements, places related to the fight against the bandits in the mountains, the literacy campaign, etc.)

The "Hanabanilla Lake", located in the local mountain territory (La Sierra de Trinidad, that belongs to the most important mountain system "Guamuhaya" located in the center of Cuba) is about 11 km to the southwest of the municipality of Manicaragua. The only lake between mountains in Cuba is considered also as a reservoir and it was one of the first reservoirs built after 1959 with the victory of the Cuban Revolution. The lake is a perfect place for tourism and the trout fishing (in the lake was captured the world Record). There is also a hydroelectric station that generates 45 000 kW and it is connected to the National System of Electricity.

There is a river path through the "Rio Negro" (Black River), affluent of "Hanabanilla Lake", a place very interesting to experience as well. In the area you can see the incomparable beauty of the natural scene and its country environment, and also the gastronomic offer with typical dishes of the Cuban cuisine.
