Corralillo is located in the north coast of Cuba, in the north-western part of Villa Clara province, in the border with Matanzas province to the west and with “Cádiz Bay“ to the north. Falcones, Blanquizal and Verde Keys from Sabana-Camagüey Archipelago, and many reefs are located in the Sea in the north of Corralillo.

Corralillo was founded in 1848 in San Ramón Farm in Punta de Felipe. The first settlers were fishermen. In the census in 1852, the town had already 15 houses and 157 inhabitants.
