The Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism of Spain, Jose Manuel Soria, will arrive in Havana on Monday on a visit aimed at strengthening business and trade bonds with Cuba.
The Spanish Minister's program of visits includes a meeting with Ricardo Cabrisas, Vice-president of the Cuban Council of Ministers. He will also meet with Alfredo Lopez, Cuban Minister of Energy and Mines, and Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment.
He travels to Cuba accompanied by a business delegation, composed of the Secretary of State for Trade, Jaime García-Legaz, who now returns to the island after his visit in April.
At that time, García-Legaz told ACN that two new investment projects were presented to Cuban authorities, aimed at opening two plants, one for the production of beer, and one for construction materials, mainly bathroom fittings.
Also part of the delegation are Antonio Fernandez-Martos, Director General of Trade and Investment; Isaac Martin, head of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade, and Alfredo Bonet, international director of the Chamber of Commerce in Spain.
Business persons of the two countries will seek new opportunities for growth in economic and commercial exchanges during a business forum to be held on Tuesday at the Melia Cohiba Hotel in this capital.
