MGM Muthu Hotels, based in Singapore, has incorporated a new 4-star establishment in Varadero (Cuba) to be called MGM Muthu Playa Varadero. It is its second hotel in the country, belongs to the Gran Caribe group and will be operated on an investment basis.
It has 385 rooms on an all-inclusive basis, and will undergo a thorough renovation that will affect public areas, outdoor areas, new kitchens, rooms and two new restaurants will be opened, one of fish and seafood and another of specialties in order to be in line with the best hotels in the area.
In April the Gran Muthu Cayo Guillermo will open, with 5 stars and 500 rooms, which belongs to the Gaviota group and due to Hurricane Irma had to delay its opening.
At present, the hotel chain has 32 establishments - all of them between 4 and 5 stars - spread across Portugal, Spain, England, Scotland, France, India and Singapore. By 2018 MGM Muthu Hotels plans to incorporate eight more hotels and reach the planned goal of 50 hotels by the end of 2019.
