Japanese travel agencies expect to increase the number of arrivals to the Caribbean island this year. The momentum is due to the restoration of diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba recently and the international interest in promoting tourism exchange relations with the island.
Travelers are showing particular interest in the capital of the island and its beautiful cityscapes that recreate ancient times. Travel companies such as JTB have recently announced that raise their tour packages to Cuba and will at the rate of 5-8 packages from October this year after being multiplied by five reserves in the country. For its part, Hankyu Travel agency has received 40% more requests while the company reorganizes its Cuban KNT HIS offers and resumed his' tours led by the country since October.
In the first half of 2014 Japan behaved among the three countries with the highest growth in the number of international arrivals to the island, behind Venezuela and Poland.
