The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero, announced that the International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCUBA) will meet in May 2021 in the most famous beach resort of the island, Varadero.
During a work tour of the popular sun and beach destination, Marrero explained that for the next edition of the event, new products and a renewed Varadero will be shown to all tour operators and other businessmen from the sector who will participate.
All of them will be possible thanks to the many constructive works that are carried out today, and that have not stopped their progress in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the disease that caused the postponement of FITCUBA for the coming year.
The visit of the president to Varadero, served to verify the progress of the investment process on the Boulevard de Varadero and in the Plaza América Convention Center, and in this regard he stressed that these and other works that take place there "were previously a dream" .
On the Boulevard, a group of works that includes the streets from 61 to 64, Marrero assured that it will mark a milestone in the famous destination and for this a boost is necessary that allows compliance with the execution schedule, with a delivery date set for next September 30.
As for Plaza América, he specified that the increase in category that it will have once it is finished, should be coupled with the increase in the quality of the service, which is also expected to occur in the rest of the hotel and non-hotel entities of the pole, which already has counted about 4,400 rooms sold in August.
In a tour in which Juan Carlos García Granda, Minister of Tourism and Mario Sabines Lorenzo, vice president of the Provincial Defense Council (CDP) in Matanzas, among other authorities, also participated, and which culminated in the meeting room of the Hotel Meliá Internacional, Marrero Cruz called to continue with the promotion in the domestic market, which he described as the most faithful, for which he also deserves "all the respect of our professionals in the sector, as well as having varied offers for safe enjoyment."
