The Sinfonía de Paisajes project, created on the initiative of a group of self-employed workers in this city, contributes to the dynamization of nature tourism in the north-eastern territory.
Luis Orlando Rodríguez, coordinator of the program, explained to the Cuban News Agency that the project was born out of the motivations of 16 housekeepers, lovers of nature and eager to contribute to the promotion of distinctive landscapes of Eastern geography.
He indicated that for this, they selected the rural settlements of Los Tibes, Copey and El Resbaladero, towns belonging to the municipality of Gibara, practically virgins in the conservation of their natural attractions.
In these picturesque places, he indicated, we took on the task of microlocalizing each of their endemic places and species of Cuban flora and fauna, which allowed us to develop a distinctive ecological circuit for the enjoyment of both national and foreign visitors.
Hiking, bird watching, horseback riding, cave exploration and enjoyment of a refreshing swim at Poceta La Milagrosa, are the main activities that those interested in discovering these picturesque places can enjoy.
In addition to these potentialities, there is also the possibility of exchanging with peasant families in the locality, whose active participation would favor the empowerment of the communities, marked this time by a new line of local development, Rodríguez stressed.
Events such as the International Tourism Fair, FitCuba 2017, held in the province of Holguín last May, welcomed with great interest the proposal that while waiting for its implementation is already patented in the Cuban Office of Industrial Property.
