The International Group of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies Havanatur S.A., is on his way to his 40 years of work with the satisfaction of having managed to expand the view of Cuba as a tourist destination at the international level and thereby contribute to attracting and broadcasting more tourists to the country. The Havanatur Group will celebrate 40 years of work in 2018, said Evelyn Guilarte, General Director.
During the reception organized to bid farewell to the year held at the Hotel Habana Riviera By Iberostar, said the directive that in 39 years of work, the Group has achieved a share of more than 20% of all arrivals of visitors to the Island.
In that sense, in 2017 there was an exponential growth of visitors in the form of cruises from the United States, with the incorporation of companies such as Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Pearl Seas and Viking, in addition to Carnival, the first to join Havanatur since May. of 2016.
Regarding the company's projections, its General Director cited among the main objectives to continue the development of the portfolio of clients and collaborators in countries such as Ecuador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and others in the Caribbean region.
Another priority is to increase the emission of multi-destination tourism among the countries of the area by 20%, based on the complementarity of their diversities, as the main tool to face together the opportunities that represent the natural and cultural treasures that each country treasures.
In addition, for the new year the Group aims to achieve the reception of 750 thousand visitors; consolidate the leading position in the tourist movement from the North American market and the sales of air tickets to the United States; and materialize the technological leap towards electronic commerce and the consolidation of the management system implemented in the company.
Consolidated as Cuba's specialist in the main issuing markets, Havanatur has tour operators in 12 countries.
