Havana City is today part of the list of the seven cities wonders of the world, in accordance with Bernard Weber, president of the organizing foundation The New7Wonders, owing to the global diversity shown inside the urban context in the capital of all the Cubans.
The definitive selection of these cities was carried out yesterday, december 7th in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), where were congratulated also La Paz (capital of Bolivia), Beirut, Doha (Quatar), Durban (South Africa), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) y Vigan (The Philippines), after a tough final where Mexico City and Barcelona, among other beautiful cities in the world were eliminated.
Through numerous media with complete democracy, the global community had the chance to vote for the published cities, that reflected the most the urban, cultural and demographic characteristics to be part of the global memory of humanity in the third publication of this important global contest.
From now on, Havana City gets all dressed up and shows to the visitors its spirit, a city opened to the world, multicultural and now more updated than ever. Havana City is today one of the best references for all the capitals in the world and a great door for tourism in the Caribbean.
