Cubans are professionally well trained in the tourism and gastronomy sector, said the President of the Federation of Culinary Associations of the Republic of Cuba (FACRC), Eduardo Fernandez.
The expert said that type of meetings of professionals allows an exchange not only between the chefs and other cooks, but also about the latest tendencies in that sector, and contact with companies and producers with similar purposes.
Fifty representatives from 12 nations are participating in this meeting, chiefly from the host nation, Mexico, Argentina, and Spain.
This year's event has the presence of some firms, including Iberotrust de Mercados, Freixenet, Rovimpex, MG Destilerías, Prodal, TJP, GIMSÁ, Junior, UGAO S.A., Vima, AM Grop, Comercial Toledo, Los Portales, Farma Venda, Eurobroker, and Cuba Ron.
Inversiones Pucara, Bodegas Sarda, Prochile, and FACRC itself, and participants from about 20 nations taking part in this edition.
Fernandez said the presence of his professional organization shows the level reached by Cuban experts, through various courses, in both the national and international levels.
