The Lisbon Tourism Fair (BTL) which concluded yesterday was beneficial to Cuba and in particular for the Cuban Tourism Group Gaviota SA from which were topics related to air connectivity to the keys north of the island with the Portuguese charter and tour operator Sonhando from July to September 2015.
The director of promotion of the group Gaviota, Lisbet Betancourt, said that there are great expectations from the Portuguese regarding the increase of flights between the two countries, especially to Cayo Coco and Varadero, with the addition of new hotels in these destinations, which increase the capacity of the group housing in over 24,000 rooms, while recalled and urged those present to participate in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2015) to be held in the Jardines del Rey early next May.
The Portuguese tourist market closed 2014 with 14 thousand 698 visitors to the island, with an increase of 55% respect to 2013.
