In order to increase the flow of tourists to the Caribbean, a region that will be favored by the traditional markets of Europe in this 2015, tourism authorities in Cuba and Trinidad and Tobago signed a multi-destination tourism promotion agreement to encourage arrivals to the Caribbean islands.
The agreement also includes the study of environmental impacts, issues related to investment, training and exchange of experiences, in addition to studies and evaluation of new projects for the creation of tourist products.
Tourism Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Gerard Haaded and his Cuban counterpart Manuel Marrero visited tourist attractions in Havana and held a meeting with the National Management of Formatur and the School of Hospitality and Tourism in Havana, where they exchanged about the training of tourism workers in Cuba.
The commission from Trinidad and Tobago also met with Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, and Vice President of the Council of Minister Ricardo Cabrisas.
