Cuba and US for reopening the embassies in Washington and Havana
This Wednesday at 11 am US President Obama will announce the reopening of embassies in both capitals Washington and Havana, after more than 50 years of silence in the political field.

Cuba has been blocked economically and politically with the embargo imposed in 1961 and since that date the US citizens need special permissions from the state to travel to Cuba for many reasons.

Until today, both countries have a type of diplomatic mission called "interests" , which do not have the same status as full embassies. This comes as a major step in the Obama administration’s push for a full diplomatic thaw, which began with the US and Cuba announcing on December 17, 2014 that they would move to mend previously hostile relations. Since then, the United States has loosened travel restrictions and allowed some new economic ties.

After this announcement tomorrow, thousands of people will be more interested in the future of tourism in the island, now with more real possibilities to progress in the theme of visa for leisure and business travel.
