The French nation holds, as usual, the World Tourism Hall of Paris, this year from 19 to 22 March, where delegations attend as exhibitors to publicize the news of their tourism products and provide detailed information about their destinations.
To this end Cuba participates with the aim of presenting and promoting the diversity of its tourism product ahead of the 2015 summer season, especially in a market that has represented large numbers of tourist arrivals by air connections existing between the European nation and Cuba.
This year Cuba attends the appointment also to promote the events that are unfolding in the island as the XXXV edition of the International Tourism Fair FITCuba (5 to 7 May), the Tournament of Marlin Fishing Ernest Hemingway (the 25 to 30 May), the Montecristo Golf Cup (9 to 11 April), the International Underwater Photography Event FOTOSUB (from April 28 to May 2) and Nature Tourism Event TURNAT (22 to September 27).
The French market in 2014 grew by 7.1% over the previous year, ranking fifth in the list of countries sending tourism to Cuba and the Cuban Tourism Fair was dedicated to France in the same year, a milestone that marks the excellent relations in tourism issues between the two nations. A sample of achievements between the two countries has been the wide portfolio of options and circuits that are offered to the French tourists to visit the island as well as the opening of Francophone Lookea club in the Hotel Varadero Peninsula.
The growth of the French market on the island is an undeniable reality, a market that is linked to the history, culture and Cuban nature in their dissimilar forms and has greatly backed the knowledge of roots and Cuban identity from each city, every mountain and every beautiful corner of this Caribbean land.
