Cuba achieved ahead of schedule in 2015 one million foreign visitors

Eleven days before the date set in 2014, Cuba has already received this Saturday its one millionth visitor, an important achievement that demonstrates the excellent health of our tourist system and the important tourist promotion that is being given to the country brand in the world.

Remain at the head of the excellent results of tourist arrivals in the Canadian market, which remains the main source market to the island with growth of 12%, followed by Germany, France, UK and Italy with average growth between 15% and 20%.

One of the key destinations in the country, Keys of Villa Clara, have shown encouraging numbers of nights spent by tourists greater than 23% over the same period the previous year. These figures have been possible thanks to the increase in the number of flights to 73 per week to "Abel Santamaría" Santa Clara International Airport at almost 8000 rooms that owns the destination.

Visitors to the center of Cuba come mainly from Canada, Latin America and Poland, the latter two markets have been integrated into the air operation this season, a fundamental progress made towards a destination that stands out for the beauty of its beaches and modern constructions.
