The city of Camagüey celebrates its 501 anniversary with numerous activities, that have been ongoing since last week and will continue until next week, what shows the extraordinary optimism and pride of the villagers with their homeland, even after more than half a millennium of existence.
These days people met in the Provincial Library Julio Antonio Mella of Camagüey because of the event "Camagüey City 501" that was dedicated to various national issues such as the promotion of reading, Marti's thought, community culture and gender studies between other issues, which were called by the Municipal Sector of Culture for eleventh time, this time with a special connotation.
