The Ordoño Hotel belongs to the "Encanto" hotel chain of the Cubanacán group, which operates mainly in buildings with high heritage and historical values and is distinguishable from other brands already established in the sector.

The Ordoño hotel is said to have been founded by Felipe Ordoño who immigrated to Cuba in the early 1900s from Spain. This successful "Man of God" generously donated a "Mother Park" to the city facing the sea.
